Using bottles is not just common but the only way of feeding babies. Since ages, babies have been fed milk, water and cereals using various kinds of bottles. This is the only way a baby without teeth can be fed properly but at the same time it has been considered unhealthy by doctors. The rubber nipples that bottles use as well the plastic spoons that some bottles have are thought to be germy and also addictive. Not only do these accessories have to be removed after a certain time but also replaced with a new one. The activity lasts until the baby is accustomed to eat in proper cutlery. 
Doctors recommend that babies should be made accustomed to eating in proper cutlery. However this does not mean that they are made to sit on a dinning table and asked to reach out to different dishes themselves. For babies, very cute and attractive cutlery sets are now available that they would surely enjoy eating in. These cutlery sets are themed on a certain cartoon character or anything that goes with the mind of the baby. Although it may be a bit difficult for the baby to handle it and he or she would find it as a bad way to be fed but then, it is a healthier way after all and hence should be the choice of all the parents. If the baby is old enough to be able to handle cutlery but still finds problem in eating that way, parents can use disposable baby bottle and feed the baby with it occasionally. 
Disposable baby bottles are available in various types and prices. These can be bought from the market if feeding the baby has become a serious problem and used alongside the cutlery. Once used, the bottle can be discarded so that the baby does not become habitual to eating and drinking in it. Slowly, the baby will get trained to eat in a healthy manner. |
